The moments you came for

A channel edged by glaciers. Penguins calling across a rocky shore. The shape of an iceberg changing as we sail past. Antarctica keeps drawing your attention back outside. We plan for time to watch, photograph and take it in, with the weather and wildlife setting the pace.

Your interests shape the adventure

Photography, wildlife, time under sail or a quiet anchorage: tell us what brings you south. We build the experience around the group, then refine each day with the weather, ice and access in mind.

The captain decides the final route and activities after arrival in Antarctica and as conditions develop.

02 / The journey south

From Ushuaia to the Antarctic Peninsula

Our journey begins and ends in Ushuaia, Argentina. Beyond the Drake Passage lie the South Shetland Islands and the bays and channels of the Antarctic Peninsula. The final route takes shape around the weather, ice, local access and safe anchorages.

An Antarctic wish list, shaped by the weather

These are the places planned for the voyage. The visiting plan is decided after arrival in Antarctica and adjusted to weather, ice and access; visiting every point is not guaranteed.

Volcanic landscapes

Deception Island

Deception Island is the flooded caldera of an active volcano, entered through the narrow opening of Neptune’s Bellows. Around Whalers Bay, dark volcanic shores hold the remains of an earlier whaling and research era.

Paradise Bay & González Videla Station

Paradise Bay frames glacier-lined water and the Chilean Gabriel González Videla Station on the Antarctic mainland. The bay is part of our planned area, while access to the station depends on permission and its operating schedule.

A passage through the mountains

Lemaire Channel

The Lemaire Channel runs between Booth Island and the mountainous coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Ice and weather determine whether this narrow passage can be navigated during our voyage.

Meet our yacht

Our aluminium expedition sailing yacht was fully refitted in 2026. She is the base for the journey: a place to sleep between passages, share a meal and plan the next landing. Explore the cabins and shared spaces before you decide to come aboard.

A small crew changes the journey

On a sailing yacht, you get to know the people you travel with. You hear the day’s plan from the skipper, share meals around one table and watch the coastline from close to the water. Every landing follows local rules and the skipper’s judgement.

Life between the landings

Some days begin with an early landing. Others are spent at sea, watching the horizon or resting between meals. Back inside, the yacht’s heating keeps the interior warm. There is time to swap photographs, share stories and find out what the next weather window may bring.

SAFETY FIRST

Preparation, experience and clear decisions

Our approach combines an aluminium expedition yacht, an experienced captain and backup equipment. The aim is to anticipate problems, make measured decisions and keep the group’s safe return at the centre of every plan.

01

Experienced command

Pavel Mulyukin brings extensive ocean sailing experience, repeated Drake Passage crossings and Antarctic voyages. He takes a cautious approach and has the final say on passages, anchorages and landings.

02

Aluminium hull and integral keel

The yacht has aluminium hull plating up to 10 mm thick. Its ballasted keel is an integral part of the hull structure, with metal ballast contained inside.

03

Equipment with backup capacity

Spare sails, multiple communication options and contingency equipment support the expedition. Life-saving provisions include a 15-person liferaft, an EPIRB and personal equipment for everyone on board.

Good to know

Questions before you go

More about preparation
Is the yacht heated?

Yes. The yacht has heating to keep the interior warm. You will still need suitable clothing for time on deck, boat transfers and shore landings.

Is the route guaranteed?

No. Weather, sea ice, access restrictions and the skipper’s assessment determine where we can go. We adapt the plan throughout the expedition, and individual landings or station visits may change or be cancelled.

Will we see whales and penguins?

We travel through areas known for Antarctic wildlife and make time for observation when conditions allow. Sightings are never guaranteed, and we keep the required distances from animals.

Do I need sailing experience?

Requirements depend on the departure and the activities involved. Contact us before booking so we can explain the expected level of participation and confirm whether the trip is a good fit.

What should I know about the Drake Passage?

The crossing can involve significant swell and seasickness. Allow for days at sea and speak with your healthcare professional about suitable prevention before travelling. We provide practical information about the crossing as part of your preparation.
